Surge Summary: The current Government is aiming to destroy America. In a few weeks, the Biden Administration and Democrats are making things worse in the nation. Those who love this country can – and must — push back in ways that are not complicated and available right now.

Over the past couple of months we have witnessed the first few steps in the murder of America.  Once again, I’m telling you that you KNOW who the people are that are doing it…and you’re doing little or nothing about it.  If what I say inflames you, so much the better, and if you want to call it sedition, that’s fine with me…just so long as you DO something.  If it IS sedition then let’s make the most of it.

Americans have, since the founding of it, looked to the Constitution for their rights because that is where they are.  No President, no Congress, nobody and nothing BUT the Constitution says you can change your government if they are treating you badly.  It’s safe to say that the current administration is doing just that.  They are chipping away at our freedoms, one piece at a time and we’re letting them, and in some cases HELPING them to do it.  What is the end result going to be?  A despotic government, draconian rule, and the virtual enslavement of the population.

The current administration, which I strongly believe is fraudulent, has shut down a pipeline, preferring instead to use trucks and trains, both of which put money in someone’s pocket, and it isn’t the average worker either.  We stopped the Keystone, which would have helped us stay independent on foreign petroleum, which status we HAD attained after many, many years.  Finally we were out from under the thumb of OPEC and were actually selling petroleum to the world.  With a stroke of his pen, China Joe put an end to that effort and gave control back to OPEC…and you can see the almost daily increase in gas prices at the pump.  Is that logical?  Is it a good thing for America?  No to both.

The filibuster, or as I like to call it, the fibber-buster, is able to keep a bad bill from becoming law.  A successful filibuster can change the minds of members of Congress by the simple process of repeating a theme over and over again until the logic is either understood or the reason is thrown out altogether.  It is, in my not-so-humble opinion, a necessary part of our governmental process.  It’s unfortunate that a party, and you know which one, is experimenting with changing much of how our government works…and not for the better.

Because “Civics” is not taught in many schools anymore, the “young people” coming along have no, or little, knowledge of how this country works.  Without that knowledge they are ready to accept just about anything they are told…and most of it could rightly be called the remains of a bull’s meal.  The party of the left is promising everything, delivering little or nothing, and the recipients of the “freebies” don’t even realize that the payments are coming out of their wallets and purses.  Understand something, people…THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FREE LUNCH.  Somebody is paying for that.  Somebody always pays for that.  You’re going to be seeing more increases, and in more things than just the gas at the pump.

Some people have written me to say that they like what I write, but could I tone it down a little?  To them my reply would have to be something like what FDR, a Democrat, said, “In the truest sense freedom cannot be bestowed, it must be achieved.”  Suppose one could capture a bear cub newly-born and raise it in a “household” environment, and they do this in Russia I’m told, but once the bear is fully grown a couple of things are likely to happen.  Either the bear will revert to wild and injure/kill the family, or it will be released back into the wild.  Neither are good choices.  If the bear kills the family, that’s awful.  If the wilderness confuses the bear, it’s more likely to be killed by other predators…and that’s not a good end to the tale either.

Toning down my rhetoric might give me a longer life, but at 87 do I really think about “the future”?  It’s better, in my mind, to say what needs to be said and take the associated lumps, instead of keeping it inside and being upset inside and out because you KNOW it should have been said.  To you patriots…get off your butts and start making some noise.  Write to your local newspaper, and never mind that it’s probably a left-leaning rag, but see if you can get a letter published.  Does your local TV channel have an opportunity to let the public say anything?  Write your elected officials, and I know you’ve heard THAT a million times, but a hand-written letter gets attention, and if they have to sign for it, so much the better.   Speak up, stand up, and make your voice heard.  Others will hear it and THEY will begin to stand up as well.  Trust me, that works.

Parting shot: We started this country because we were tired of being “used”, and we fought the-then best army in the world, and we beat them.  The Founding Fathers were not the old guys you see in the paintings…the majority of them were under 25!  Many of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were hunted down by the British and murdered…sometimes their entire family was killed.   It took huge, brass ones, to go against The Crown.
